How to get the holy sprit :

1. "Repent and be baptized every one of you in
   the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness
   of your sins, and you will receive the gift
   of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

          a) repent and leave it :

      Whoever conceals his transgressions will
      not prosper, but he who confesses and
      forsakes them will obtain mercy.
               Proverbs 28:13

       Two kinds of real repentance we will get

       God has granted repentance that leads to life.
             Acts 11:18

       godly grief produces a repentance that leads
       to salvation without regret  2Corinthians 7:10

2.  stay in the city until you are clothed with power
    from on high. Luke 24:49

            Stay in the city means :

    All these with one accord were devoting themselves
    to prayer, together Acts 1:14, Acts 2:1-4

3. we need to keep ask and seek Him
    how much more will the heavenly Father give the
   Holy Spirit to those who ask him Luke 11:13
   Elisha did not leave Elijah until he gets double
   portion of Holy spirit 2kings 2:9-14

     Elisha had gone through four experiences to get holy spirit
          
         a) Elisha coming to Gods presence , house of God
              Genesis 28:17-19 , 2kings 2:2

         b) Elisha coming to Jericho 2kings 2:5
             Jericho is a cursed place n sinful nature
             Joshua 6:17,18
             Elisha is confessing his sinful nature ,
             get rid of curse in Gods house

        c)  Elisha coming to Jordan 2kings 6:5
               Jordan means taking baptism Matthew 3:13-15,
               Jordan means death of sin  Romans 6:6,7

         d) Elisha took hold of his own clothes and tore them
            in two pieces.  2kings 2:12 which means
            rend your heart and not your garments Joel 2:13
